iPhonso GmbH was born with the iPad.
That was the time where two enthusiasts of mobile development: Vikram Kriplaney and Sebastian Vieira, decided they wanted to share their apps with the world. Our first app was Frame HD, an online photo album which lets you watch and share flickr and facebook images like you would do with a photo frame, but in iOS. Frame HD was among the first batch of iPad apps to be approved by Apple and it became one of the top apps in its category.
Frame HD was quickly followed by Africa Soccer, an online photo album aimed for the Africa Football World Cup.
2011 was a quiet year in which we did release a small but very clever utility app called Operator, which lets you dial up a phone number using dtmf sounds.
2012 will rock. We are in the process of releasing many exciting new apps. The first one is called Gekko which was born out the frustration of one of the iPhonso developers, who has been following the stock market for a while. He had some half usable apps at his disposal, but none satisfied him. It was then that Gekko was born. you might say it is the logical evolution of the current financial news apps.
There are many other exciting new apps in our pipeline. They are all in the last stages of their development. So please stay tuned for updates in our blog!
